We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Leader - Quality Assurance to join our Technical Team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the management of the Production QA team. Ensuring high and consistent quality is managed during the packing phase to meet ASDA’s specifications. Working alongside production colleagues you will ensure all production lines comply with relevant legislative, food safety and quality requirements, while meeting targets on productivity, cost per pack and yield.
Tuesday - Saturday, 8am - 4:45pm
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Responsible for the management of the QA team to meet ASDA’s quality and compliance requirements during packing
- Maintain finished specifications ensuring available for QA.
- Ensure Production paperwork is completed accurately inclusive of track changes.
- Complete investigations with regards to rejection or internal quality failures, ensuring that all corrective actions are implemented.
- Maximise yield through coaching of colleagues on quality and monitoring & reduction, while still meeting ASDA’s specifications
- Communication of quality issues on the line to senior stakeholders to ensure quick action is taken to minimise impact on productivity
- Create Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and guidelines to continuously improve the department’s ways of working.
- Deliver training and coaching sessions to QA using written SOP’s and guidelines.
- Compliance for BRC requirements, assist in compliance audits (internal)
What are we looking for?
- Proven experience working within Operations in a supervisory role
- Relevant experience in fresh produce or food
- HACCP Level 3
- BRC Lead Assessor
- Proactive decision making.
- Communication skills
- Excellent IT skills – Microsoft Office
