About The Role

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Manager - Communications & Engagement to join our Corporate Services Team.
 
As Senior Manager - Communications & Engagement, you will work cross functionally to set and lead implementation of the Communications & Engagement strategy for the IPL Group, whilst bearing in mind our diverse workforce and audience.
 
8:30am - 5pm, Monday - Friday
Hybrid working is also available (Up to 2 days per week from home)

Your key responsibilities will include:
  • Set out the overall comms and engagement strategy for IPL and lead the implementation
  • Support corporate affairs including working with local MPs and Government bodies to promote IPL
  • Establish an approach to PR, proactively working with media and online to support IPL
  • Support the deliver of ESG agenda by managing external and internal channels to promote progress on sustainability
  • Build annual communication plan that outlines all key communication activities along with the channel to best engage both “wired” and “non wired ”colleagues or any other specific colleague  groups
  • Create internal and external communications that reinforces IPL EVP how we want people to think about working for IPL
  • Creates and deploy an infrastructure that enables 2-way communication helping people share their views on “working for IPL” and ensure that key messages flow to and from all key stakeholders
  • Provide support (e.g. templates, training) and direction to enable the delivery of local messages in a professional and branded manner
  • Build and deliver colleague engagement survey including action planning
  • Build social media plan and governance that ensures potential colleagues understand what the IPL F&K brand stand for
  • Responsible for the IPL F&K brand incl name, logo, tone of voice and how this is deployed across all channels (internal and External)
  • Work with functions / sites to build functional / site specific communications plans
What are we looking for?

  • Experience of building a PR & IR plan
  • 5 years experience of leading a communication function across a multi site business
  • Experience of communicating with both professional and a “Non-wired” workforce
  • Gravitas to support and guide board member roles
  • Previous experience of delivering an employee engagement program including survey
  • Understanding of social media and how to drive colleague engagement via social media
  • Experience of implementing projects
