About The Role

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Supply Chain Leader to join our Operational Supply Chain team.

In this role you will play an integral part by leading the IPL Supply team, ensuring all suppliers receive orders in an efficient and timely manner and driving delivery performance to maximize on time in full deliveries, communicating issues and investigating instances that have impacted IPL inbound. Implementation and measurement of outbound CI initiatives and managing the GSCOP process for 3rd party claims for lost stock, whilst monitoring the daily performance of all 3rd party storage and logistics providers. This role will cover multiple IPL divisions, including IPL Produce, House Plants & Flowers, Nuts & Dried Fruit, and other IPL sites, 3rd party suppliers and European direct deliveries.

Monday - Friday, 8:30am - 5pm - Please note that this is a site based role

Your key responsibilities will include:

Day to day accountability of the IPL Supply Team, providing 7 day supply chain support, whilst ensuring the function is smoothly and effectively managed.
Daily reconciliation of site inbound performance, proactively investigating and challenging instances of lost stock/unplanned shortages.
Managing, Coaching and development of the Advisors – Supply Chain job role, both in terms of technical skills and behaviour. Govern colleague training and compliance of agreed processes
Collaborate with the Asda CI and supply teams to implement and measure cost saving initiatives
Implement, develop and deliver the IPL Supply Team KPI’s
Manage the escalation of any risks to delivery of products ordered under an IPL PO – including IPL sites, 3rd party suppliers and European direct deliveries
Manage daily relationships with 3rd party logistics providers and Asda logistics services, including deliveries into Asda depots and returnable assets (trays/BDU/Q boxes)
Be the escalation point for Asda depots for any deliveries in breach of the Asda delivery guidelines – take steps to resolve issues
Accountability for the upkeep of the IPL Ordering systems and processes for all business areas – both incoming EDI and outgoing orders and forecasts to 3rd party suppliers – ensure they are operational and fit for purpose
Manage, administer, report and develop the IPL Case and pallet claims procedures
Build and maintain strong working relationships with the Asda Supply, Logistics and depot teams
Provide an out loading pallet forecast for all IPL sites
Manage the IPL Retail link account – internal and external business areas
Manage the daily IPL returns process and monitor the financial costs associated

What are we looking for?

Supply chain management degree, auditory qualification or management qualification is desirable but not essential
Excellent Excel and MS Office Experience
Must be an advocate for delivering outstanding customer service.
Integrity & credibility with a delivery of cost savings in supply chains.
Credible leadership skills that demonstrate a capability to motivate colleagues
Must demonstrate drive and a real passion for food.
Demonstrate resilience, be enthusiastic and motivated with a ‘can do will do’ approach.
Must lead by example, enjoy work and encourage others to do the same.
Excellent communicator and relationship builder with junior staff, external clients, regulators, suppliers and management peers.
Highly organised with the ability to organise others.
Meticulous attention to detail.
Flexible approach demonstrating the ability to multitask.
Strong influencing skills
Good working knowledge of all accreditation standards and relevant legislation
Ability to work under pressure.
